Computed Tomography (CT)
CT, or Computed Tomography, is an advanced imaging technique that uses multiple X-Ray images and computer processing to generate detailed cross-sectional views of internal structures, such as bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues. CT scans provide far more detailed images than standard X-Rays, aiding in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. For some procedures, a contrast agent may be used to enhance image quality and clarity.
The CT scanner features a circular, doughnut-shaped design with a movable bed that passes through its center. During the scan, you’ll need to remain still on the bed to ensure clear, accurate images.
