X-Ray

X-Ray

X-Rays are a quick and effective imaging technique that uses low-dose radiation to capture detailed images of internal structures. Different tissues in the body absorb radiation in varying amounts, which is why bones appear white while softer tissues like muscles and organs show up in shades of grey. This widely used diagnostic tool helps assess numerous conditions and is typically performed with the patient standing or lying down. Although the scan itself is painless, you may experience minor discomfort from the positioning required for the images.

A referral from a medical practitioner is necessary to have an X-Ray. At Lakes Radiology, no appointment is required—simply walk into your nearest clinic.
